Don't Drown In Its Misery!

Of all mental storms, jealousy would not be one of the commandments if God didn't feel the need to put it in the TOP 10.

Let it go at the first twitch! This is one mental storm that leads to a torrent of aftermath reactions! It bethroths anger, insecurity, doubt, anxiety, stress, worry, frustration, weariness, distrust, distress, suspicion and other negative forces within.

Unfortunately, twinges of jealousy may tweak within us eventually - if only for a split second. Yes, some Christians included! It does not matter to what action this culprit applies to - it is just not worth the gut wretching, knawing, never ending bitterness it causes - regardless of the foundation it's built upon.

Christians, young and old are apt to feel a surge of jealousy now and then - over affections portrayed to someone other than ourselves, the items of others, or any reason prompting it. This mental storm can flood our mind in a matter of seconds. It can invade us when we can't have something or someone that belongs to someone else. It can happen when we are set aside FOR something or someone else by someone we love. Whatever the case, this storm can and will lead to woe and worry. Don't allow distress by letting a vice of an unrelentless sourness control you.

If someone did something against you that prompts a storm of this sort to brew, cast the feeling out! What is done is done and do not dwell on it! Pray for guidence that will lead to a more productive approach - like forgiveness.

Jealousy is a sin. Bottom line. That means we are putting our own desires before the desires that God has especially for us!

Do not fret for any length of time on a jealous emotion - no matter the extent of cause. It's just NOT worth it! Why succumb to the misery it produces? Forget it - no good has ever come of it!

Anger is relentless, and wrath overwhelming- but before jealousy who can stand?
