Another Key Toward A Spirit-To-Spirit Touch With God

Do you like to dance? So does your spirit! Christian music is one sure way to get your spirit in sync! Whether you're on the road in traffic, home alone just relaxing or even doing chores around the house. What better way to make the housework fly by?! Just pop in your favorite CD and let your spirit free! My sister-in-law puts on her favorite Christian and Gospel music while mopping the house (she HATES to mop!) She claims the "mop time" goes by like a charm! I believe her, too!

Sometimes when my husband is piddling around in the garage (although he claims he's organizing or working - yeah, right)I'll bring a Christian music CD and pop it into the player. He subconciously listens and shortly after will hum or whistle the song. Another key to leading a little touch of Jesus to my family.

I carry along some of my favorite Christian music CD's while traveling on vacation. Since my son and my husband are "locked in" with me in the vehicle on our long vacation journey they have learned to enjoy the music as well - considering one likes country music and the other likes music that I can't understand the words to - which is not a good thing... So, I try to squeeze in some God quality every chance I get! My favorite Christian music bands are Third Day and Mercy Me. When I listen to Christian and gospel music I feel myself concentrating on not only the rhythm but of course - the words - and what stories they tell! They touch your heart, soul, spirit and lead you away from the "craziness" of this world...

As the bible has it - THE BOOK OF PSALMS are a collection of songs!

Sing to the lord a new song of praise in the assembly of the faithful. Psalm 149:1

Let them praise His name in the festive dance, let them sing praise to Him with timbrel and harp. Psalm 149:3

Praise Him with the blast of the trumpet, praise Him with lyre and harp, Psalm 150:3

Praise Him with timbel and dance, praise Him with strings and pipe. Psalm 150:4

Praise Him with sounding cymbals, praise him with clanging cymbals, Psalm 150:5

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Alleluia. Psalm 150:6

Try incorporating some Christian and gospel music into your life if you haven't already. And I do mean incorporate! You'll be surprised how peaceful your spirit feels while listening to Jesus music (as my little boy calls it). And singing comes along with listening... so you're singing praises to Jesus, your spirit is dancing and you're still accomplishing your task(s) or just relaxing.

Music is one of the wonderful gifts we have in life, thank you God! May we praise you in song and dance!
