Plain and simple. These were his words on April 23, 2001. No further explanation warranted his insight of what the cross and Jesus meant to him. You can't get into heaven without the key - the key of belief that; Yes, God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, for whoever believes in Him may not die but have eternal life.
John 3:16

Over the years, in all of my Christian practices, my bible study and in depth discussion I've had with hard core Christians, all of the preachers, priests, ministers and so on, I have NEVER had the explanation of Jesus and the cross put so explicitly simple as my child's illustration. Was it just me? Did I miss something along the way?... I asked my child what made him determine that the cross was the key into heaven - he responded, "Because when I was holding the cross I turned it sideways and saw that it made Jesus' house key, Mom".

Those two well construed sentences made my entire Christian being settle within me. I "got a visual" when my child actually demonstrated to me as he took the cross from its perch in the living room slowly turning it sideways how it did indeed resemble a key. As he turned it sideways he made the motion with it as unlocking a door. The cross IS the KEY to heaven.

My child did not portray his Christianity by reciting the first two chapters of the New Testament while standing on a pulpit in front of a crowd of over a hundred. No, he simply reached into his heart and gently led me, one person, that particular day, into a beautifully new direction...

Obviously I told several of my closest friends of his demonstration. What mom wouldn't?... It played on my mind over and over for quite some time. One day recently, I sat on the side of my bed and picked up my bible... I opened to a page at random (I love doing that!) and my eyes settled on this: On one occasion Jesus spoke thus: "Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, to you I offer praise; for what you have hidden from the learned and the clever you have revealed to the merest children". Matthew 11:25

There it is.

Jesus spoke to me in His own words confirming that regardless of how smart we think we are - a child pure and innocent - is led in ultimate wisdom by God Himself. It's to our own benefit as adults to take heed to the words of a child as pieces of heaven are clearly bestowed unto them.

It was not my intention to start a Christian website. Oh, yes, I was going to do a website - but not this kind. I was led to it actually. I lost my job (and practically my hometown) along with a 26 year career in transportation logistics - thanks to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, literally. I'm personally grateful otherwise I would not be here doing what I'm doing now. I was in a comfort zone in my career and although I wanted a change I just never wanted to chance my secured profession. Unfortunately it took 2 hurricanes, back to back, instead of my Christian faith, to make me change my way of thinking in my career and in myself. Leaving transportation behind and becoming keyed into christians far surpasses what I thought I'd be doing less than a year ago. You see, miracles happen to those who believe because they believe and miracles also happen to non-believers to MAKE them believe. God has a way of getting our attention one way or another. This website is a grand example of how God works! I shall now, instead of routing trucks, will journey a path that Jesus has paved - this is a key that unlocks a new door for me. As ordinary Christians, we don't need to stand tall on a pulpit preaching in every direction. I am an ordinary Christian but a Christian non the less. Do I need more polish? Yes. Everyday. Would you like a little more Christian polish? We can do it - little by little, day by day. The way I look at it is - Jesus did not surround himself with 12 knights in shining armor or 12 aristrocrats - He surrounded himself with fishermen.
